October 2025 belongs to the dogs — and at The Carro, we’re turning the whole month into a tail-wagging festival with our friends at Pupsy. Every Saturday afternoon, the beer garden fills with pups, prizes, and plenty of pub banter as we celebrate Dogtober in true Carrington style.
From tiny terriers to gentle giants, each weekend puts the spotlight on a different pack. There’ll be stalls, giveaways, portraits, trainers, treats, and of course, our legendary host Carmen Geddit keeping the show rolling. It all builds to the Grand Final Parade on Saturday 25 October — the day every good dog dreams of.

The Saturday Line Up
Saturday 4 October – Small Breeds
Opening day with the little legends of Surry Hills taking centre stage.
Dog show begins 3pm.

Saturday 11 October – Medium Breeds
Dog accessories stall and giveaways for the first 20 dogs from 1pm.
Carmen Geddit takes the mic and the medium breeds strut the stage from 3pm.

Saturday 18 October – Large Breeds
From 1pm, enjoy stalls, giveaways, and a live pet portrait artist sketching pups on the spot.
The large breed show begins 3pm.

Saturday 25 October – The Grand Final Parade
Pupsy takes over with a full afternoon of stalls, trainers, competitions, and the parade to crown our Dogtober champion.
Love Dog joins us, “Ask the Trainer” sessions with Mark Ehrman, owner of K9 Counselling, run throughout, and the last of the giveaways are snapped up.
Festivities from 1pm. The Grand Final Parade begins 3pm.

PUPPY HOUR - MON to FRI
Dogs deserve happy hour too. All month long, we’re serving up half-price pup cakes and dog meals Monday to Friday, 4–6pm.
Because wagging tails should be celebrated just as much as clinking glasses.
